A Design-Led Approach to Building in Hampshire

As building contractors across Hampshire, we treat craftsmanship and finish as seriously as the design itself. Whether you’re planning a home extension, structural alterations, or a full home renovation, every project is handled end to end by the same team, from first sketch through to final finish.

Why CHoose

Why Choose Hampshire Building Co.

There are a lot of builders in Hampshire to choose from, so it’s worth being clear about what actually sets us apart. Every project is managed by the same director from the first conversation through to handover, not passed between site managers you’ve never met. Design and detailing are worked out properly before anything is built, which is where most delays and budget overruns actually come from when they’re skipped.

We work with a small number of projects at a time rather than spreading ourselves across a wide area, which means the subcontractors on your job are known, trusted, and used to working to our standard. That’s a different approach to a national firm managing your project remotely from a regional office, and it’s one a lot of homeowners across Hampshire’s villages and market towns tell us they prefer once they’ve experienced it. Call us on 07359 222 643 or email info@hampshirebuildingco.com to discuss your project.

Where We Work

We work with homeowners across Hampshire, Wiltshire, Dorset, and West Sussex — focusing on the villages, market towns, and rural pockets where the work deserves the most care.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I get a quote from Hampshire Building?

Fill in the callback form with your name, number, and the type of work you need, or send us a message through the full enquiry form. We aim to get back to you within one working day.

Who will be managing my project on site?

Our director, Lee Conduit, oversees every project directly. You will not be handed off to a site manager you have never met. The same person who discusses the design with you at the start is involved throughout.

Do you handle planning permission and building regulations?

Where planning permission is required, we will advise you on whether your project needs it and support the application process. Building regulations approval is managed as standard across all our projects.

How long does a home extension in Hampshire typically take?

Timescales vary depending on the size and complexity of the project. A single-storey extension typically takes between 10 and 16 weeks on site. We agree a programme with you before work begins and keep you updated throughout.

Will my project stay on time and on budget?

Projects are far more likely to stay on track when the design and detailing are worked out properly before anything is built. That is why we treat the design stage as seriously as the build. Decisions made early on site tend to cost more and cause more disruption than decisions made at the drawing stage.

What areas do you cover?

We work across Hampshire, Wiltshire, Dorset, and West Sussex, primarily in villages, market towns, and rural settings. Our coverage area includes Chandler’s Ford, Fareham, Romsey, Winchester, Andover, Petersfield, Emsworth, Ringwood, and surrounding areas.

How is Hampshire Building Co different from a national building firm?

We work with a small number of projects at a time and focus on a defined area. That means the director is on site, the subcontractors are known quantities, and the work gets the attention it deserves rather than being managed remotely from a regional office.
